About Madeline Kauffman, PA-C
One of our newest members at Southwest Family Physicians is Madeline Kauffman, PA-C.
Madeline obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at Oregon State University. Throughout her studies, she worked as a CNA in long-term care. Following college graduation, Madeline returned to her hometown of Juneau, Alaska where she worked at an internal medicine clinic and volunteered with Hospice and Home Care for several years prior to pursuing her PA career. Madeline completed a Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences where she completed clinical rotations throughout the New England area.
Madeline decided to pursue a career in family medicine as she enjoys seeing patients across the lifespan. She looks forward to creating patient-provider relationships and is a strong believer in shared decision making for optimal physical and mental health. Madeline additionally has a special interest in Obesity Medicine and will be attending the Obesity Medicine Association conference this spring to further her education in the field.
Madeline is excited to have returned to the Pacific Northwest. Outside of medicine, she loves all things art, nature, and eagerly awaits all of your book and restaurant recommendations.
